Laundry (as it was)

Hooray, not much to do here.
Removed the green and white fabric (which has left open cupboads which request us to do something with them).
The toilet is in a separate room, which isn't clear from the picture.

Our bedroom (as it was)

The carpet had to go (smelly and revolting), much plastering required.

Lounge (as it was)

Behind the bookcase is a hole in the wall, and behind the photographer is another hole. The carpet had to go (grotty underneath the rug) and sadly(!) the plasterer needed the wallpaper removed.

Kitchen (as it was)

There were lots of pictures of this; on account of it being one of the "finished" rooms... lovely country cupboards. The checked fabric and lace had to go (and quickly) and Steve and Shannon unearthed the pantry from the garage and put it together again.

Happily the mat wasn't hiding any indiscretions on this occasion, so pretty much what you see is what we got. (except for the mysterious vanishing shelves)

The window is a particularly interesting feature though... no glass in the nice wooden one, so they put another (ill-fitting but glazed) one on the outside of the house (we kid you not and will provide photographic evidence in another post). Shame about the gaps, but i guess if you have an excess of cats you needn't be afriad of mice!

The Family Room (as it was)

Just admire the strange sheeting like object where gib/gyprock should be. This was also mirrored in the opposite wall. There are beautiful "puzzle boards" on the ceiling.
